Reeds
Reeds, you are broken and cannot defend yourselves,
How will you fare when the autumn wind blows?
For a while, the flowers have snow on their heads,
In several places, leaves sink into the waves.
Frail in body, the spring breeze arrives early,
In clusters, the dew on the grass is plentiful.
On the rivers and lakes, the fallen reeds sway,
I fear the passing of another year.
